Sustainable design to LEED criteria
Below are some examples of our LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) criteria projects.
Paul Quinn College- Trammell S. Crow Living and Learning Center Renovation and New Gymnasium
Burrows and Associates completed the MEP design for the dormitory renovation and the new gymnasium using LEED criteria. The college contracted Burrows and Associates to complete the building commissioning to LEED certified criteria. Commissioning is ongoing as of February 2022.

Little Rock Air Force Base – Building 264
LRAFB directed the design professionals to design a 2,000 square foot addition to a squadron administration building meeting LEED Silver Standards. Designed to LEED Silver Standards, certification to LEED O+M existing buildings in process.
Citizenship and Immigration Services building- Fort Smith Arkansas
Achieved LEED ID+C Commercial interiors v3 certification in 2016.
Hobbs State Park Visitors Center- Rogers Arkansas
16,000 sq-ft Visitors center and park office. Achieved LEED BD+C new construction v2.2 Silver certification in 2010.
Several projects have been completed to LEED criteria however the building owner did not elect to pursue certification.
Deer Creek Public School System- Edmond Oklahoma
Middle School #2- A new 160,000 square foot middle school campus which includes classrooms, media, laboratories, dining, kitchen,three gymnasiums, football field, tennis courts,baseball and softball fields and all support spaces. This building was served by 5 ground coupled water source heat pump systems making this the most energy efficient building of its type in the region.
Performing Arts and Athletic Center (PAAC)- This structure combines a 2,200 seat basketball arena with a 1,200 seat performing arts center. This complex is heated and cooled with a ground coupled multi stack heat pump chiller and boiler. This mechanical plant is expandable and is the basis for an envisioned district system serving the multi sport complex and future expanded high school building.
Victoria Gardens Professional Office- Plano Texas
A new 22,000 square foot commercial office building with ground coupled water source heat pump system, rainwater catchment system and gray water irrigation. All MEP systems were designed to the highest LEED criteria.
Holiday Inn Express- Dallas Texas
New construction hotel designed to LEED Silver standards.

Renovate SPS (Sterile Processing Service)
Provide an Architectural & Engineering (A/E) Design Solution, including design drawings and specifications, for the required updates/changes/modifications to address operational deficiencies in the Endoscope Soiled Processing areas on the ground and fifth floors, respectively, at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR.

Design corrective actions for OR 2F mechanical systems
Provide an Architectural/Engineering (A/E) design solution through the preparation of design drawings and specifications for the general corrective actions to the HVAC system for the OR 2F surgical suites, the Medical Gas system in the PCAU (2Bl81 ), a new CO2 and W AGD system, and provide a code compliant enclosure of the flash sterilizer in the OR 2F surgical suites in the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
