Engineering Designer (Job Code: 1001)

 

Duties:

Responsible for supporting the development of innovative MEP design solutions for building projects including new construction and renovations; assist in the production of design and construction documents including models, drawings and specifications; assist in the review of submittals, shop drawings and answering project questions from customers and contractors; collaborate with other engineers and designers to maintain project schedules; support the design and development of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for new construction and renovation of buildings; utilize AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite of Products, writing technical reports, reading/interpreting drawings and specifications, energy management techniques and report scheduling development/coordination to perform duties; design power and electrical systems for various stages of construction; design plumbing systems for remodeling or construction of buildings, including sanitary sewer, gas, city water and hot water; and responsible for producing mechanical, plumbing and electrical fixture schedules and riser diagrams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors -  Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).

Experience:  None 

​

Other Requirements: Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework, research work or internship that included use of all the following: AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite of Products, writing technical reports, reading/interpreting drawings and specifications, energy management techniques, and report scheduling development/coordination.

 

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
